About Us
What is STEMVocate?
STEMVocate is an Oakton High School student-led organization dedicated to providing STEM opportunities for elementary schools students in the form of one-day workshops, camps, webinars, blogs, and more.
How do we operate?
We host workshops and camps at public meeting spaces, such as public library meeting rooms and community centers. In addition, we have established connections with multiple elementary schools throughout FCPS, including Brookfield Elementary, Poplar Tree Elementary, Willow Springs Elementary, and Oakton Elementary Schools.
Why did we create STEMVocate?
Our organization was established upon realizing the lack of STEM opportunities many young students face, even in a more advantageous school district, such as FCPS.
